    Clean or backwash the filter, and clean the pump strainer basket prior to installing your Hayward automatic pool cleaner. NOTE: If the pump does not have a strainer basket, it is absolutely necessary that the Hayward AEW560 Leaf Canister be installed. The Hayward AEW560 Leaf Canister can be purchased separately from your local Hayward dealer.
  • Page 18 If the total hose length is not long enough, it will be necessary to purchase additional hose sections from your Hayward dealer. The hose length supplied (9,75 meters) has been determined to be sufficient for the majority of pools, nationally.
