OPERATION
To reduce the risk of injury, always
WARNING
wear proper eye protection marked
to comply with ANSI Z87.1.
Always remove battery before attempting to
install, service, or maintain the pump.
Pump should only be used to pump clear wa-
ter. Do NOT pump salt water, brine, laundry
discharge, or any other application which may
contain caustic chemicals and/or foreign mate-
rial. Do NOT pump sand particulate, or large
debris. Do NOT pump fluids such as gasoline,
fuel oil, or kerosene. Do NOT use in a flammable
or explosive atmosphere.
Operation
The MILWAUKEE MX FUEL™ 1HP 2" Submersible
Pump (Cat. No. 49-50-1210) operation is controlled
by the MILWAUKEE Portable Pump Power Base
(Cat. No. MXF211).

Transportation and Storage
Do not transport or store with a battery pack installed
in the machine. Never store with liquid inside the
pump.
To store the pump:
1. Flush the pump with clear water after use to pre-
vent any damage to the pump.
2. Disconnect from the power base.
3. Remove the hose.
4. Clean and allow pump to dry.
Correction
See "Cleaning the
strainer/impeller".
Replace Inlet/Outlet
line. Check lines for
blockages, kinks or
bends. Clear blockages.
Tighten inlet connection,
adding Teflon tape or a
gasket if necessary.
Hand tighten four cover
screws.
Correct situation, then
turn tool off, then back
on to reset.
Allow pump to cool.

MAINTENANCE
To reduce the risk of injury, always
WARNING
unplug the charger and remove the
battery pack from the charger or machine before
performing any maintenance. Never disassemble
the battery pack, charger, or machine, except as
provided in these instructions. Contact a
MILWAUKEE service facility for all other repairs.
Maintaining Machine
Keep the machine, battery pack and charger in good
repair by adopting a regular maintenance program.
Inspect the machine for issues such as undue noise,
misalignment or binding of moving parts, breakage
of parts, or any other condition that may affect the
machine operation. Return the machine, battery
pack, and charger to a MILWAUKEE service facility
for repair.
If the machine does not start or operate at full power
with a fully charged battery pack, clean the contacts
on the battery pack. If the machine still does not work
properly, return the machine, charger and battery
pack, to a MILWAUKEE service facility for repairs.
Inspect oil after 1,000 hours of use or 6 months,
whichever come first. Change the oil after 2,000
hours of use or 12 months, whichever comes first.
To change the oil:
1. WARNING! Remove battery to avoid starting the
machine.
2. Disconnect the pump from the power base.
3. Remove the pump from the pumping environ-
ment, clean, and allow to dry.
4. Place the pump on a level surface.
5. Place a suitable oil container under the drain plug.
6. To drain, remove the oil drain plug using a hex
wrench. Discard the copper washer. Let oil drain
into a suitable oil container. Dispose of the waste
oil in compliance with all applicable regulations.
Contact the local waste management authority for
more information.
7. Tip the pump as necessary to completely drain
the oil.
8. Refill with 0.3 pints (155 ml) of ISO VG 32 Turbine
oil through the oil inlet port.
9. Install a new copper washer (Cat. No. 05-90-0005)
and reinstall the oil fill plug.

jury and damage, never immerse
the machine, battery pack or charger in liquid or
allow a liquid to flow inside them.
Cleaning the strainer/impeller
1. Turn off power to the pump.
2. Disconnect the pump from the power base.
3. Remove the pump from the pumping environment.
4. Remove any debris from the strainer.
5. Spray the strainer with water as needed.
6. If necessary, remove the strainer to access the im-
peller. Remove any debris from the impeller area.
