Battery
If the electrolyte (acid) escapes from the battery
cell due to ex-treme mishandling or extremely dif-
ficult conditions, observe the following:

Avoid contact with the skin
–
Rinse off the electrolyte with water or a neutra-
lising agent.
–
The rinsing water must not seep into drains or
the soil. It must be disposed of separately.
–
On contact with the skin or eyes, rinse with wa-
ter and con-sult a doctor.
Only use AA alkaline batteries (Mignon).
Operation
Installing the batteries

Ensure that the motor is in the OFF positi-
on.
Place the batteries in the spreader as shown in the
figure.
Working with the spreader

Ensure that the ON/OFF switch is in the
OFF position.
1. Hold the spreader over a paved surface.
2. Fill the spreader hopper.
3. Set the flow rate (1).
4. Set the motor speed to the desired spreading co-
ver (2).
5. Push back the safety switch (3) and press the
on/off switch (4).
6. First of all spread a small area and adjust the set-

ting if necessary.

Dispose of batteries
Batteries contain lead and must be of
in the correct manner. Batteries con-
tain lead are harmful to the environ-
ment if they are incine-rated with
other household garbage.
Disposal
Power tools do not belong in house-
hold garbage. Bring the the device,
accessories and packaging to an en-
vironmentally-friendly recycling loca-
tion.
