Valve torch SR/ABITIG
4.3 Connecting the cable assembly
1 Plug the cable assembly connection into the power source and lock it.
2 Properly mount the connection for shielding gas.
4.4 Setting the shielding gas
NOTICE
• The type and quantity of the shielding gas depends on the welding task and the gas
nozzle geometry.
• Make all shielding gas connections gas-tight.
• To prevent the shielding gas supply from becoming clogged by impurities, the cylinder
valve must be opened briefly, before connecting the cylinder. This will blow out any
impurities that may be present.
1 Open the shielding gas cylinder.
2 Set the gas quantity on the pressure reducer of the shielding gas cylinder.
5 Operating elements
NOTICE
• As the TIG welding torches are integrated into a welding system, the operating
instructions of the welding components, such as the welding power source, must be
observed during operation.
5.1 Valve wheel
1 Open valve = gas flows
2 Close valve = welding is stopped.
6 Putting out of operation
NOTICE
• Please make sure that the shutdown procedures for all components mounted in the
welding system are strictly observed before putting out of operation begins.
1 Close the valve of the shielding gas cylinder.
2 Switch off power source.
