Rectification of faults
With the Current Clamp VC-602 you have acquired a product con-
structed to the latest technological standards. However, problems
or faults can arise. Because of this, the following describes how
some of these problems can be resolved by the user relatively easi-
ly; Observe the safety information without fail!
Fault
No voltage
measurement possible
No display when
unit switched on
Unusual
resistance values
- Except where this can be performed manually, live
parts may be exposed when opening covers or re-
moving components. Connection points may also
be live. Before any adjustment, maintenance, re-
pair or exchange of parts or assemblies requiring
opening of the unit, the unit must be disconnected
from all voltage sources and measurement cir-
cuits. If adjustment, maintenance or repair is sub-
sequently required on the opened unit while it is li-
ve, these must only be performed by a specialist
familiar with the associated hazards and relevant
Possible cause
Are the test leads in the
COM and VOLT sockets?
Is the battery exhausted?
Is the resistor to be measured
built into a circuit?
