Do not touch any circuits or circuit components
when measuring voltages higher than 25 VAC rms
or 35 VDC.
For measurement of AC voltages:
1. Connect the black test lead to the COM socket (centre) and the
red test lead to the "VOLT" socket (right).
2. Set the rotary switch to "AC~ 400V" or "AC~ 750V"
3. Connect the test probes to the object to be measured (load, cir-
cuit, etc.).
4. The instantaneously-measured value is shown.
The AC voltage measuring range "V~" offers an input resistance of
approx. 4.5 MOhm in parallel with approx. 30 pF max.
Notes!
Due to the fact that the measurement input is very sensitive, it
may be that random measured values ("phantom measured va-
lues") are displayed even with test leads unconnected (not
connected to a circuit). This "manifestation" is normal and dis-
appears as soon as a measurement is performed.
C Direct voltage measurement
Never exceed the maximum permissible input le-
vels, also not when measuring superimposed DC
voltages (e.g. ripple voltages). 1000 VDC max.
