maintenance. Continuous satisfactory operation
depends upon proper appliance care and regular
cleaning.
WARNING: To reduce the risk of injury,
turn appliance off and disconnect
appliance from power source before
installing and removing accessories,
before adjusting or changing set-ups or
when making repairs. An accidental start-up
can cause injury.
WARNING: For user servicing, the machine must
be dismantled, cleaned and serviced, as far as is
reasonably practicable, without causing risk to the
maintenance staff and others. Suitable precautions
include, decontamination before dismantling, provision
for local ltered exhaust ventilation where the machine
is dismantled, cleaning of the maintenance area and
suitable personal protection.
• The manufacturer, or an instructed person, shall

FILTER (Fig. A, H, I)
FILTER CARE
The lters included with this vacuum are long life lters.
To be effective in minimizing dust recirculation, the lters
MUST be installed correctly and in good condition.
WARNING: Appropriate personal protective
equipment like dust mask and gloves should be used
while handling the lters.
To Remove Clean Connect Filter
1. Turn on/off switch
and unplug cord from outlet.
2. Release lid latches
head
from canister. Place vacuum head on a
4
level surface upside down.
3. Turn each lter
counterclockwise by gripping it
9
on the plastic end cover as shown, and carefully
remove from head, ensuring debris does not fall into
mounting hole.
NOTE: Use care to not damage lter material.
4. If the bottom side of the vacuum head
be cleaned, use a cloth dampened with water and
mild soap and allow it to dry. Dispose the cloth in an
appropriate container.
5. Inspect lters for wear, tears or other damage.
NOTE: If there is any doubt on the condition of the
lters they MUST be replaced. DO NOT continue use
if lters are damaged.
WARNING: Never use compressed air or a brush
to clean lters, otherwise damage to the lter membrane
will occur which will allow dust to pass through the lter.
If needed, gently tap against a hard surface or rinse with
room temperature water and let air dry. Cleaning of the
lters is typically unnecessary, even if the lter is covered
with dust. The automatic lter cleaning system will
maintain maximum performance and continue to function.
If visual damage to the lter membrane exists, replace
lters. Filters typically last between six and twelve months
depending on use and care.
