Before you start...
Proper use of the product
The unit is designed to cut lawn areas in pri-
vate house and hobby gardens.
The unit may not be used commercially.
The device may only be used in accordance
with the specifications listed in the operating
instructions.
Any unintended use or any activities on the
device not described in these operating
instructions are an unauthorized misuse out-
side the manufacturer's legal liability limits.
What are the meanings of the symbols
used?
In the operating instructions
Notes indicating danger and other notes are
clearly identified in the instruction manual.
The following symbols are used:
DANGER! Type and source of dan-
ger! Ignoring the danger notes repre-
sents a risk of injury.
NOTICE! Type and source of dan-
ger! This danger sign warns of dam-
age to the device, the environment or
damage to property.
Note: This symbol indicates informa-
tion that will help you to better under-
stand the processes at hand.

These symbols identify the required personal
protection equipment.
On the product
Symbols appearing on your product may not
be removed or covered. Signs on the product
that are no longer legible must be replaced
immediately.

General safety information
• The user of the device must have read
and understood these operating instruc-
tions prior to its first use for save handling
of this device.
• Please comply with all safety instructions!
If you disregard any of the safety instruc-
tions you may place yourself and others at
risk.
• Store all operating information and safety
instructions for future reference.
• Keep children away from the device.
Keep the device away from children and
unauthorized persons.
• All components of the device, in particular,
the safety mechanisms must be assem-
bled correctly in order to ensure trouble-
free operation.
• Conversions, independent modifications
and the use of non-approved parts are not
permitted.
Operation/workplace
• The device must only be used when it
functions properly. If the device or part of
the device is defective, it must be repaired
by a specialist.
• Always comply with the all applicable
domestic and international safety, health,
and working regulations.
• The device may only be put into operation
if no defects are found when it is checked.
If a part is defective it must be replaced
before the device is used again.
• Individuals under the age of 16 and those
not familiar with the operation of the
device should not be allowed to operate
the device.
Before putting the unit into operation,
read the instructions for use.
