• The engine oil should be replaced every 10 hours if the generator works frequently at high temperatures or loads.
• The air filter element should be cleaned every 10 hours if working frequently in dusty environments. If necessary, replace it every 25 hours.
Warning: • Stop the generator before conducting maintenance work.
• Place the unit in a horizontal position.
• To prevent accidental starting of the engine, remove the spark plug cap from the spark plug.
• Do not use the generator indoors or in places with poor ventilation.
Engine oil replacement
1) Remove the oil gauge. Unscrew the oil bolt to drain the oil.
2) Install the drain bolt and tighten it.
3) Fill oil and check the oil level.
4) Install the oil gauge.
Air filter maintenance (Fig. 14)
• Dirty air filters negatively affect the flow of air into carburetors. To prevent carburetor breakdown,
air filters should be regularly maintained.
Warning: Do not clean the filter element with gasoline or flammable solvents as this
may cause fire or an explosion. Use only soapy water or non-flammable solvents to
clean the filter element.
Note: Do not start the generator without the air filter as this will lead to rapid wear
and tear of the engine.
1) Open the locking bolt of the air filter cover and open the air filter cover. Check the filter element
and ensure it's in good condition and clean.
2) If the foam filter is dirty, clean it. Wash the foam filter in hot water with household detergent,
then rinse with clean water and squeeze. Finally, drop a few drops of oil and squeeze evenly.
3) Place the filter element in its original position, cover it with the air filter cover and tighten the
locking bolt.
Spark plug maintenance (Fig. 15)
1) Remove the spark plug cap.
2) Use the spark plug socket wrench to remove the spark plug.
3) Visually inspect whether the spark plug insulator is damaged. Replace the spark plug if it is damaged.
4) Measure the spark plug clearance with a thickness gauge. Bend the side electrodes to adjust the clearance. The clearance
must be between 0.70 and 0.80 mm.
5) Check whether the spark plug gasket is in good condition.
6) Put the spark plug back in its original position, tighten it with the spark plug socket wrench and press down the spark
plug gasket. Cover the spark plug cap.
STORAGE
Warning: • Allow the generator to cool before storing it.
• If long-term storage is required, make sure the storage area is clean and dry.
1) Drain fuel from the fuel tank.
2) Clean the fuel filter, O-ring and precipitation cup.
3) Unscrew the carburetor drain bolt and drain the fuel from the carburetor entirely, then put the carburetor drain bolt back in place and tighten it.
4) Unscrew the oil gauge and oil drain bolt on the crankcase and drain the oil in the crankcase. Afterwards, tighten the drain bolts, add new oil to the upper limit
and put the oil gauge back in its original position.
5) Remove the spark plug and pour a tablespoon of clean engine oil into the combustion chamber. Turn the crankshaft several times to distribute the oil.
Reinstall the spark plugs.
6) Gently pull the starting handle until resistance is felt.
7) Place the generator set in a clean and dry area.
