FITTING
1.
Remove the rear bumper and wheel arch linings (x4 screws along the top edge of the bumper, x4 screws under the
wheel arches, x2 large plastic nuts in the top face of the wheel arches, x2 large torq screws inside the top edge
of the wheel arches, x2 self tapping M8 screws on the bottom edge and x1 central M8 Screw on the bumper
tag.)

Detach the steel crash beam by removing x6 nuts (Note: Run a knife along the mastic compound to separate crash
beam from back panel. Additionally ensure all mastic compound is removed from the Side Arm seating
areas to ensure a true mating surface). Hand the crash beam back to the customer for refitting at a later
date.
3. Loosely attach the Main Frame (A) to the back panel using Nuts (G) and Bolt (H).
4. Slide Side Arms (C) and (D) through the existing holes in the back panel so that they sit within the chassis rail.
5. Loosely attach Side Arms (C) and (D) to the Main Frame (A) using Bolts (E)
6. Remove x2 square black rubber plugs situated below the chassis rails and loosely attach Side Arms (C) and (D) to the
chassis rail using Bolts (F).
7. Fully tighten every bolt and nut to its recommended torque setting.
8. Seal the mating faces of the towbar to the rear panel ensuring the ingress of exhaust fumes is prohibited.
9. Offer up the bumper and cut as illustrated below. (Note: When re-assembling the bumper, it will be necessary to
cut and bend the central bumper support significantly in order for it to fit between the central profiles)
10. Refit the bumper and wheel arch linings. Note: When re-assembling the bumper, please ensure the rear face of the
bumper is adequately protected from potential scratching/marking.
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
