The use of the steam ironing station
When ironing clothes with the KLAMER steam ironing station, proceed as
follows after filling the water tank sufficiently, switching on the unit and
waiting for it to heat up:
1. The steam ironing station is in normal mode after switching on. This means
that the normal temperature mode is selected (SET button lights up blue) and
the ECO mode is not active (ECO does not light up). If desired, switch to High
temperature mode with the SET button (see p. 18).
2. Slide the latch of the ironing lock to the left
side to unlock the iron. You can now release it
from the station and lift it.
3. Place the iron on the garment to be ironed.
4. Press the steam button on the iron to begin
ironing. Hot steam comes out. You can choose
from the following three modes:
Standard Mode
Tap the steam key to let steam escape for a
short time.
Continuous Steam Mode
If you press and hold the steam button for 3
seconds, the iron switches to continuous steam
mode and steam is emitted continuously until
the water tank is empty. By briefly pressing the
steam button again, you deactivate this mode
again and the steam emission ends.
Steam burst mode
If you press the steam button twice in quick succession, the steam burst
function is started and steam is emitted for 6 seconds.
When you have finished ironing, press the
device. Place the iron on the ironing station and allow the iron and station to
cool down before moving them.
Note
To save power, the steam ironing station automatically turns off after 10 minutes of
inactivity.

Cleaning and care
When cleaning the steam ironing station, please always make sure that the
device and especially the iron has cooled down. If you have used the iron
recently, then be sure to wait two hours from the last use so that the iron can
cool down sufficiently to avoid burns.
Fill the water tank
To ensure a long service life of your steam generator, it is very important that
you perform the descaling procedure when the descaling light starts to flash.
The descaling indicator will start flashing after a total of 8 hours of operation to
indicate that the steam generator needs to be descaled, Follow the steps below
to descale the steam generator.
1. Make sure that the steam ironing station is switched off. Remove the plug
from the socket for safety reasons. Allow it to cool down.
2. Place the steam generator on a stable surface so that the descaling bar
protrudes over the edge of the table or bring the steam generator to a sink.
3. Hold a large bowl or pot under the descaling knob. Turn the knob
counterclockwise, slowly pull the descaling rod out of the unit and allow the
water with the lime particles to drain away, tilting the unit slightly if necessary.
You can now fill in fresh water and rinse the inner tank this way - but never use
chemical descaling agents. Afterwards, allow all water to drain off again.
4. When no more water flows out, replace the descaling rod. Turn the knob
clockwise to secure it.
Cleaning the ironing soleplate
Clean the soleplate regularly to remove stains and lime from the soleplate. To
maintain a good glide of your iron soleplate, it is recommended to clean it
regularly (once every 2 months). You can do this by heating the iron and moving
the soleplate over a damp fabric.
1. Make sure that the steam generator has been decalcified recently before
cleaning the ironing sole.
2. Place the steam generator on a stable surface so that the descaling knob
protrudes over the edge of the table or bring the steam generator to a sink.
3. Press the on/off button and wait 5 minutes. Place a piece of thick cloth on
your ironing board, Hold down the steam button and slowly move the iron
back and forth over the cloth until no more water comes out or until steam
comes out.
4. Hot, dirty water comes out of the soleplate.
5. Switch off the steam generator and allow it to cool down for 2 hours.
6. Remove the descaling knob and let the water run into a cup. Replace the
descaling knob and turn it clockwise to secure it.
7. If necessary, repeat steps 2-6.
