The functions of the steam ironing station
The steam ironing station is operated using the buttons on the control panel
on the front. The buttons and display symbols have the following meaning:
Button
On / Off button
For switching the device on and off.
The device can be switched off at any time with this button, even during
operation.
Settings - Switch temperature settings
The SET button allows you to switch between two different temperature
levels. Details can be found on page 20.
ECO Mode
The ECO button enables the operation in the economical mode. Pressing
the button once activates the ECO mode, in which less steam is emitted.
This is indicated by the green glow of the ECO button. Pressing it again
switches back to standard mode.
The meaning of the display symbols
There are two additional indicator lights with corresponding symbols above
the three operating keys. These are not buttons, but merely warning lights.
They have the following meaning:
Symbol
"Water tank empty" indicator light
If the water tank is too empty to generate steam, the device beeps and
interrupts the ironing process. The indicator lights up red. Fill the water
tank to continue ironing.
"Descaling necessary" indicator light
This indicator lights up red when the unit needs to be descaled. Perform
the descaling procedure described on page 11 before continuing ironing.
Before first use
Clean the device to remove packaging residues, among other things. To do
this, wipe it with a slightly damp cloth.
Clean the ironing soleplate with a soft, slightly damp cloth. Then allow it to
dry before operating the device.
