NOTICE! Risk of damage to the 
unit! Do not allow the battery pack
to deep discharge.
• The battery pack must be charged prior to
the first start-up (charging time: ► Techni-
cal data – p. 50).
– Press in the locking button (21) and
remove the battery from the device
(► P. 5, fig. 6).
– Insert the battery pack into the
charger (► P. 5, fig. 7).
– Plug the charger into the power supply.
The charging status is displayed by the con-
trol lights (12) and (13):
– Battery inserted: red and green LED
flashing for a few seconds (the battery is
self-checking)
– Green control light flashes = Battery pack
is charging.
– Green control light lights = Battery pack is
fully charged.
– Red control light lights = rechargeable
battery not properly inserted in the charg-
ing station
– Red control light flashes = Battery pack is
defective. Do not continue to use the bat-
tery pack!
– Slot the battery pack into the device and
make sure it clicks into place correctly.
Checking the remaining capacity of the 
battery

– Press the button (15).
The remaining capacity of the battery is dis-
played by the control lights on the dis-
play (14):
Preparation
Adjusting the handlebar height
► P. 4, fig. 4
– Set the handle bar to the required working
height and allow to engage in the drilled
holes (17).
– Press the clamping lever (16) towards the
handlebar.
– If the clamping lever does not safely
clamp: open the clamping lever again in a
clockwise direction and tighten it to the
limit stop.
– If the clamping lever cannot be tightened
to the limit stop: open the clamping lever,
make a counter-clockwise revolution, and
tighten it to the limit stop.
Set the cutting height
The cutting height can be set to several differ-
ent heights (Cutting heights: ► Technical 
data – p. 50).

– Pull the lever (7) to the side.
– Set the cutting height to the value you
require, and let the lever slot back into
place.
Attach the collection box

– Lift the protective flap (4) and hold.
– Hook in the collection box (8).
– Make that the collection box is securely
engaged.
Mounting the ejection opening
Note: When using the ejection
opening, the mulching wedge must
be mounted; the collection con-
tainer is not required.
Cut material is distributed on the
grass.

– Press the unlocking button (29).
– Lift the flap (24).
– Hook on the ejection opening (6).
Mounting the mulch wedge
Note: Mulching is the use of cut
grass as a natural compost. When
mulch-mowing, the grass is cut,
finely chopped and spread across
the grass in one operation.

– Remove the collecting sack.
– Push the mulch wedge (25) into the open-
ing of the machine until it engages.
– Lower the safety flap (4).
Turning on the tool
Note: The product cannot be
switched on without the circuit
breaker.

tion to the fit)

– Press and hold down the switch lock (9).

– Pull the switch on lever (1) and hold.
– Release the switch lock.
• The unit will switch itself on with approxi-
mately 2 seconds delay.
