• Be sure air tool is in OFF position when connecting tool to air supply.
• Never direct air at yourself or anyone else.
• Whipping hoses can cause severe injury. Always check for damaged or loose hoses and
fittings.
• Whenever universal twist couplings are used, lock pins should be installed and whipcheck
safety cables should be used to safeguard against possible hose-to-tool or tool-to-hose
connection failure.
• Do not exceed the maximum air pressure stated on the tool or in this manual.
• Never carry an air tool by the hose.
• Maintain labels and rating plate through the life of service.
• Do not use the tool while you are tired or under the influence of drugs, alcohol or
medication.
• Store idle tool out of the reach of children and do not allow persons unfamiliar with the tool
or these instructions to operate it.
3.3- Special warnings when using air drill
• WARNING! This tool is not intended for use in potentially explosive atmospheres and is
not insulated against contact with electric power. Use metal and voltage detectors to locate
concealed electric, water or gas lines. Avoid touching live components or conductors.
• WARNING! Wear hearing protection. Exposure to noise can cause hearing loss.
• Use personal protective equipment. Always wear safety goggles and earmuffs when using
the tool. Wear a dust mask if the drilling operation creates dust.
• Drill bits and tools get hot during operation. It is recommended to wear gloves when
handling them. Allow to cool before handling them.
• Do not use this tool for prolonged periods of time. Take regular breaks. Use gloves to
provide extra cushioning in order to avoid any injury from the vibrations of the tool.
• Do not overreach while operating the tool. Maintain a balanced working stance at all times.
• Only use accessories which match the chuck size of the tool and are specifically designed
for use with an air drill.
• Keep the drill bits sharp and clean for the best and safest performance.
• Make sure the bit is centrally positioned between chuck jaws and securely tightened in
chuck before use. Insecure drill bits can be ejected from the machine causing a hazard.
• Before drilling, check that there is sufficient clearance for the drill bit under the workpiece.
• Where possible, use clamps or a vice to hold the workpiece.
• Maintain a balanced body position and secure footing.
• Use both hands when operating this tool.
• Do not force the tool.
• Where possible, use clamps or a vice to hold your work.
• Always disconnect the drill from the air supply before changing a bit.
• Examine the chuck regularly for signs of wear or damage. Have damaged parts repaired by a
qualified engineer.
• Always wait until the drill has come to a complete stop before putting it down.
• Avoid direct contact with moving parts in order to prevent pinching or cutting of hands or
other body parts.
• On completion of the work, disconnect the tool from the air supply and remove bit from the
tool.
• Do not use the tools in any operations that beyond the intended purpose.
