11. PROBLEM SOLVING
PROBLEM
The pump works but does not
pump out water.
The pump does not start and
stop according to the change of
water level.
The flow rate is inadequate.
The pump stops with the float
switch on after working for a
short time.
The pump does not work.

POSSIBLE CAUSES
A. The suction grille is clogged.
B. Impeller is clogged or damaged.
C. More head is required than indi-
cated by the pump.
The level switch cannot move
freely.
A. The suction grille is clogged.
B. Impeller or discharge tube is
clogged.
The pump stops automatically
when the thermal protector is
switched on.
A. Check float switch oscilla-
tions.
B. Verify that the plug and soc-
ket connections are good.

SOLUTION
A. Clean the filter.
B. Replace impeller
Make sure that the level switch
swings freely and adjust the
cable length through the slot.
Clean clogged parts.
Check if the temperature or
density of the liquid is too high
to cause overheating.
