Introduction
This high-frequency industrial battery charger has advanced charge and termination
algorithms that optimizes daily battery capacity and overall battery life.
The charger is convection-cooled. The main enclosure of the charger is sealed and
there is an externally attached fan that maintains correct charger operation over a large
power range.
With the universal AC input, the charger can receive most standard AC voltages and
frequencies. The charger includes high-efficiency and power-factor correction.
The charger has a display panel to monitor the status of the charger.

Safety Alert Symbol and Signal Words
The safety alert symbol
identifies safety information about hazards that could
result in personal injury. A signal word (DANGER, WARNING, or CAUTION) is used to
indicate the likelihood and the potential severity of injury. In addition, a hazard symbol
is used to represent the type of hazard.
DANGER indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, will result in death or serious injury.
WARNING indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in death or serious
injury.
CAUTION indicates a hazard which, if not avoided, could result in minor or moderate
injury.
NOTICE indicates information considered important but not hazard-related.

AC Input Cordsets and DC Connections
WARNING
Risk of electric shock. Connect charger only to a single-phase, properly grounded
(3-wire) outlet.
2
NOTICE The customer must supply the DC output (Figure 2) connection to their power
source (voltage and current). One is available for purchase through an Authorized
Battery Service Dealer.
The charger has an AC input rating of 110-230 volts, 50-60 hertz, single-phase. The
charger has an AC operating range of 99-253 volts, 45-65 hertz. Operating below 230
volts will reduce the output power of the charger.
The charger must be grounded to reduce the risk of electric shock. The AC power
cordset must be connected into an outlet that is installed and grounded correctly and is
in accordance with all applicable electrical codes and ordinances.
You must use a cordset that meets these requirements:
•
15 amp (continuous).
•
IEC C19 connector.
•
A grounded wall plug for the country that it is being used in.
Connect the AC cordset to the charger:
