9 Maintenance and cleaning
NOTICE
• Remove any adhering weld spatter.
• Ensure that all threaded fittings are tight.
9.1 Cleaning the wire guide

WARNING
Risk of injury
Serious injuries may be caused by parts swirling around.
• When cleaning the wire guide with compressed air, wear suitable protective clothing, in
particular safety goggles.
1 Unscrew the cable assembly (9) on the machine side and bring it into a stretched position.
2 Unscrew nut (3) and pull out liner or PA liner and replace it, if necessary.
3 Remove worn parts (10), (11) from the torch neck (2).
4 Clean wire conduit (1) from both sides with compressed air.
5 Slide adjusted liner or PA liner into wire feed hose (1) and secure with nut (3).
6 Connect cable assembly on the machine side with wire feed unit (4).
9.2 Cleaning the torch neck
NOTICE
• Clean the gas nozzle interior regularly to remove weld spatter and spray it with original
ABICOR BINZEL anti-spatter fluid.
• Check the wear parts for visible damage and replace defective parts.

1 Remove gas nozzle (1).
2 Remove welding spatter and spray gas nozzle (1) and contact tip (3) with the
ABICOR BINZEL antispatter agent.
3 Check wearing parts for visible damage and replace them, if required.
