On/Off Power Switch
If the stairlift is turned off here, it will not recharge.

Key Switch
To stop others from operating the stairlift, use the key swich
located underneath the armrest, turn to remove the key.
This will not affect the charging capabilities.
Armrests

These can be folded away at the end of the journey to
keep the staircase clear.
Status Display

Displays the current status. If any faults develop with the
operation of the lift they will be displayed here. See status
display codes section - page 12.
Direction Control

When seated, move the lift in your desired direction by
pushing and holding the direction control at the tip of the
armrest. There will be a short delay before the stairlift will
start or change direction. Release the control to stop the
chair from moving.

Swivel Seat including lever
The seat can rotate at the top of the staircase to aid a
comfortable entrance and exit from the lift. In the case of
the Manual Swivel, the seat can also be partially rotated
at the bottom of the staircase. For your safety, the seat must
be locked into its normal travel position before you can
travel. Always make sure it is locked before you sit down
or stand up from it.
Manual Swivel Option
To rotate the seat, lift one of the levers (7) at the side of the
seat. Allow the seat to rotate until it stops, then release the
lever to lock the seat into place, this must be done when
the stairlift is stationary. If you attempt to do this while
traveling, the lift will stop.
Powered Swivel Option
If your stairlift is fitted with our power swivel option, when
reaching the top of the stairs, keep the control device
pressed. After a short pause, the chair will swivel towards
the landing. To return the chair to the normal travel position,
press down on your control device and to swivel the chair
before making the journey downwards.

Retractable Safety Belt
Pull the safety belt from the holder, across your lap and clip
it into the socket. Make sure you use this for every journey.
Do not unclip until the stairlift has stopped, this includes
when the chair is swivelling into position. The lift will not
travel without the safety belt fastened.
Footplate including

The footplate can be folded up and down using the
footplate lever (10).
Powered footplate option
If you have chosen to have a powered footplate fitted, the
button to operate this is under the left hand arm (1 1).

Safety Sensing Edges
If the lift encounters an obstruction, it will stop. Release the
control device and wait for approximately three seconds
before reversing away from the obstruction.
