6. Operation
6.1 Tool without the telescopic tube
Insert the battery as shown in Section 5.3 Fig. 5.
6.1.1 Use
The tool is used like a conventional garden
shears. Use your free hand to move the branches
etc. into position. Keep a safe distance between
this hand and the work area – risk of injury.
6.1.2 Switching on (Fig. 9 - 9a)
a) Press the push lock (Item 3) on the right so
that it slides out of the housing on the left. The
trigger (Item 4) is unlocked.
b) Press the function switch (Item 5a) for one
second. A signal will sound and the "ON-
STANDBY-OFF" LED (Item 5b) will light up
"Orange" (STANDBY Mode).
c) Press the trigger (Item 4) twice in quick suc-
cession (double-click). A signal will sound
and both the "ON-STANDBY-OFF" LED (Item
5b) and the "CUTTINGWIDTH 28MM" will
light up "Green". The tool is ready for operati-
on. Pressing the trigger (Item 4) will now open
the cutting blade.
6.1.3 Adjusting the opening width (Fig. 9 - 9a)
You can set two diff erent opening widths of the
branch cutting blade (28mm / 14mm).
a) 28mm -> 14mm: Press the function switch
(Item 5a) briefl y – the "CUTTINGWIDTH
28MM" LED will go out and the "CUTTING-
WIDTH 14MM" LED will light up.
b) 14mm -> 28mm: Press the function switch
(Item 5a) briefl y – the "CUTTINGWIDTH
14MM" LED will go out and the "CUTTING-
WIDTH 28MM" LED will light up.
6.1.4 Working (Fig. 9)
Press the trigger (Item 4) to close the cutting
blade, release the trigger to open it again to the
previously set opening width.
6.1.5 Switching off (Fig. 9 - 9a)
a) Press the trigger (Item 4) to close the cutting
blade. Hold the trigger and press the push
lock (Item 3) into the housing on the left. The
trigger (Item 4) will lock. After approx. 5 se-
conds the "ON-STANDBY-OFF" LED will light
up "Orange" (STANDBY Mode).
b) Press the function switch (Item 5a) for 3 se-
conds. A signal will sound, the "ON-STAND-
BY-OFF" LED will light up and the tool will be
switched off .

6.1.6 Finishing the job
Switch off the tool as described in Section 6.1.5,
remove the battery/batteries and fold the blade
guard cover over the branch cutting blade.
6.1.7 Belt clip
You can use the belt clip (Fig. 2 / Item 8) to hang
the tool on your belt for example. Both your hands
are then free and the tool is always within easy
reach. Danger! First switch the tool to at least
"Standby Mode".
6.2 Tool with the telescopic tube
Insert the battery as shown in Section 5.3 Fig. 6.
6.2.1 Instructions for using with the telesco-
pic tube
•
The push lock (Fig. 9/Item 3) has no function.
•
The tool always cuts with the large opening
width (28mm).
•
The tool can be switched off directly on the
tool itself by pressing the function switch of
STANDBY Mode Off. No other functions can
be changed directly on the tool.
6.2.2 Fitting the tool on the telescopic tube
(Fig. 10 – 14)
Open the toggle fastener (Item 20), fold the thrust
piece (Item 19) and the holding bar (Item 21)
away to the back, and push the branch shears
into the mount (Item 25) as far as the stop.
Fold the thrust piece (Item 19) over the branch
shears, hook the holding bar (Item 21) on the
counter-hook (item 26), and clamp the branch
shears with the toggle fastener (Item 20).
6.2.3 Switching on at the telescopic tube
(Fig. 6 / 15)
a) Press the function switch (Item 10) for several
seconds. A signal will sound and the orange
"STANDBY" LED (Item 10a) on the telescopic
tube handle will light up.
b) Press the trigger (Item 12) on the telescopic
tube handle twice in quick succession (dou-
ble-click). A signal will sound and the green
"ON" LED (Item 10b) will light up. The tool is
now ready for operation.
6.2.4 Working with the telescopic tube (Fig. 6)
The tool always cuts with the large opening width
(28mm). Press the trigger (Item 12) to close the
cutting blade, release the trigger to open it again.
