5. USE
The hood may be used in kitchens with or without smoke ducts.
Air outlet duct
Air can be evacuated by connection to the smoke duct (air evacuated to the external environment)
or by filtering air that's then fed back into the environment (charcoal filter).
Operation with Chimney stack Connection
The loaded air is guided towards a smoke duct or an external environment via
a hose attached to the outlet of the extractor hood fan's motor outlet, when
used with the smoke duct connection.
For the connection to the smoke duct, the Ø120 mm spiral hose and the
clamp ring must be provided by an approved service or a point of sale
recommended by the service.
WARNING: These parts are not included in the appliance's contents and must be
purchased separately.
WARNING: When installing the appliance with a chimney stack, all relevant warnings in the
safety and environmental instructions must be taken into account.
Operation without smoke duct
When operating the extractor hood without a smoke duct, the air aspirated by
the active charcoal filter, fitted on the side sections of the fan motor or onto
the body of the extractor hood, is filtered and returned into the cooking space.
WARNING: As the charcoal filters are optional parts, they must be
purchased from the service, incurring additional costs.
Never wash the charcoal filter.
Using the charcoal filter
The product that you're using has the option of using a charcoal filter.
Grease filters must be installed in the product, whether charcoal filters are used or not. Do not use
your product without a grease filter.
The use of the charcoal filter is indicated below.
Switch off your appliance before replacing the charcoal filter.
The charcoal filter must be replaced every 3 to 5 months, depending on the frequency of use,
as it's used in kitchens without chimney stack outlets.
The charcoal filters must never be washed.
