GROUNDING SAFETY
WARNING! This tool MUST be grounded while in use to protect
the operator from electrical shock. Failure to follow grounding
instructions could result in seroius injury.
WARNING! Improper connection of the equipment-grounding
conductor can result in risk of electric shock.
In the event of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path
of least resistance for electric current and reduces the risk of electric
shock. This tool is equipped with an electric cord that has an
equipment-grounding conductor and a grounding plug.

The three-prong plug (Fig. 1-1), must be plugged into a matching
outlet (Fig. 1-3) that is properly installed and grounded in
accordance with all local codes and ordinances. Ensure the plug is
equipped with a corresponding grounding
prong (Fig. 1-2) or proper grounding
materials. (Fig. 1).

Do not modify the plug provided. If it will
not fit the receptacle, have the proper
receptacle installed by a qualified
electrician.

The conductor with green insulation (with
or without yellow stripes) is the equipment-
grounding conductor. If repair or replacement
of the electric cord or plug is necessary, do not connect the
equipment-grounding conductor to a live terminal.
4.
This tool is equipped with an approved cord and a 3-prong
grounding type plug for you protection against shock hazards.
5.
The grounding plug should be plugged directly into a properly
installed and grounded 3-prong grounding-type receptacle (Fig. 1).
6.
Do not remove or alter grounding prong in any manner. In the event
of a malfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a path of least
resistance for electrical shock.
