7. ABNORMALITIES DURING OPERATION

Never use the machine if any abnormality is found.
When any one of the following abnormalities is found, turn off the Power switch immediately,
disconnect the power plug from the plug socket, and contact our nearest distributor or MAX
Authorized distributors for inspection/repairing.
1. There is nothing wrong with the power source or wiring(see "PROTECTIVE DEVICE" on
Pages 14), but the following phenomena are encountered:
● The machine is not activated by turning on the Power switch.
● The motor roars.
2. An abnormal sound is emitted during operation.(See "OPERATION OUTPUT AUTOMATIC
CHANGEOVER MECHANISM" on Page 19)
3. The pressure switch is not activated, but the safety valve is activated, causing the
compressed air to spout.
4. The air is leaking.
5. The pressure does not increase.(See Page 19)
6. Touching a metal part makes you feel a slight electric shock.
7. Other abnormality is found during operation.

8. OTHER PRECAUTIONS

1. When Using the Machine in the Cold District
In order to prevent functional faults due to freezing;
I ) Warm up the machine prior to using it.
ii) Prior to using the machine, connect the power plug directly to the main power source
and warm it up(run it for some time with the drain cock opened). When using the
extension cord or drum cord, be sure to use those of "3mm
long," in the fully stretched condition.
2. When Using the Auxiliary Tank
In order to prevent an accident or reduced performance due to an erroneous connection;
i ) Be sure to read the instruction manual for the auxiliary tank used.
ii ) Be sure to use the specified special air chuck for the special auxiliary tank connection
port of the machine.
iii ) When attaching/detaching a special air hose joint used to link between the machine
and special auxiliary tank, make sure that the air tank of the machine is not filled with
the compressed air.

9. PERFORMANCE MAINTENANCE

1. Discharge the drain(water) from the machine.
After completion of work, open the drain cock gradually to fully discharge the compressed
air and drain(water) from inside the air tank until the needle of the pressure gauge has
pointed at 0.

Unless the drain(water) is discharged, rust will take place inside the air tank, causing a
trouble.
2. Inspect the machine periodically.
In order to maintain the performance of the machine, clean and inspect it periodically.
Contact our nearest distributor or MAX SERVICE for inspection.

Optionally available air duster is convenient for cleaning the air compressor. Purchase
the air duster from our nearest MAX Authorized distributors.
