GAS CYLINDER STORAGE
Your gas cylinder must be stored outdoors in a well ventilated area and must be disconnected from your gas
griddle when not being used. Ensure that you are outdoors and away from any sources of ignition before
attempting to disconnect your gas cylinder from your gas griddle. When you are using your gas griddle after a
period of storage, please ensure to check for gas leaks and check for any obstructions in the burner, etc., before
using. Also follow the cleaning instructions to ensure gas griddle is safe. If gas griddle is stored outdoors, ensure
that all areas under the front panel are free from any obstructions (insects, etc.) This area must be kept free as it
may affect the flow of combustion or ventilation air.
CONNECTING THE GAS CYLINDER
1. Before connecting the gas supply, ensure that there is no debris caught in the head of the gas cylinder, regulator,
burner or burner parts. Spiders and insects can nest within and clog the burner/venturi tube at the orifice. A
clogged burner can lead to a fire beneath the appliance.
2. Clean the burner holes with a heavy-duty pipe cleaner.
3. Fit the hose to the appliance, ensuring that the screw fitting has been fully tightened using a spanner. If the hose
is replaced, it must be secured to the appliance and regulator using hose clips.
4. Disconnect the regulator from the cylinder (according to the directions indicated on regulator) when the BBQ
is not in use.
5. The griddle must be used in a well-ventilated area. Do not use indoors or in a garage.
6. ONLY USE THIS GRIDDLE OUTDOORS.
Always perform the Leak Test listed below before using your griddle for the first time, if the cylinder has
been changed, if any gas supply components have been changed, if the regulator flow-limiting device
has been activated, or after a long period of non-use.
