CA6240 FIRMWARE UPDATE TROUGH A PC
1. Requirements
•
IBM PC or compatible (Pentium or better)
•
Microsoft(R) Windows(R) 98 / NT 4 / 2000 / Me / XP / Vista
•
USB/RS-232 optical link
•
FLASHSTA.EXE program
The program "Flash Programmer M16C Flash Starter" with FLASHSTA.EXE as
executable program can be downloaded with following address Internet:

The two following files shall be in the same directory than the program

2. Prepare to download
Before downloading the firmware , the user shall verify that the battery is full ( the charge is
made while the instrument is OFF)
The user shall make a reset and then put the instrument in a particular state for downloading
as described below :
2.1. To Make a reset of the instrument
• The rotary commutator must be on the position '4000mΩ Ω Ω Ω /100mA'
•
Press at the same time on the buttons 'CLR' and 'MR' and 'DISPLAY'
and then unpress.

3. Downloading the firmware into the instrument
3.1. Launching of the downloading program :

The downloading program is self-contained and does'nt required any
installation.
•
Simply open FLASHTA.EXE.
the file of the loaded firmware (filename with *.mot extension)
the file with *.id extension.
