PERSONAL INJURY, REMEMBER THE FOLLOWING:
1. Use this hood only as specified by the manufacturer. Please do not hesitate to
contact the manufacturer when you have any questions.
2. Installation work, including wiring, must be completed by a qualified electrician in
accordance with applicable local codes and standards, including fire-resistant
construction.
3. Connect the hood to a standard US/Canada 110-120V outlet and test the hood and
lights before installation.
4. To reduce the risk of fire or electric shock, do not use this fan with other high-power
devices.
5. Before servicing or cleaning the hood, turn off the power to prevent accidental
power on.
6. This hood may have sharp edges. Be careful to avoid cuts and abrasions during
installation and cleaning. Wear protective gloves if any parts need to be removed for
installation, cleaning, or repair.
7. Adequate air makeup is required for this hood to exhaust gases properly and to
prevent backdraft. Follow heating equipment manufacturer safety standards issued
by local code agencies and industry associations, such as the National Fire
Protection Association (NFPA), American Society of Heating, Refrigerating and Air-
Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE) lights.
8. Do not damage electrical wiring and other hidden facilities when cutting or drilling
into walls or ceilings.
9. Fumes must be vented to the outside through a flue.
10. To reduce the risk of fire, use only metal ducting.
11. This hood must be grounded.
12. Install this product only using the safety certified cord set specified for the product
and follow the instructions included with the cord set.
13. When applicable local codes contain more stringent installation and/or certification
requirements, those requirements take precedence over those of this document and
the installer agrees to comply with those requirements.
