5. Pull a power cord with a metal socket from the ceiling and let it hang down through
the opening. Install a 6" ventilation duct that connects the ceiling opening to the
roof or exterior wall opening as shown in Figure. Use caulk to seal the gap in the
exterior wall or roof opening.
6. Secure the top plate of the support bracket to the ceiling with four wood screws,
making sure that the screws are driven into the wood above the drywall as shown in
Figure 2.
