Predefined working mode
Function
nut is released. The automatic shutdown prevents the bolt nut

Note: This working mode can only be activated if the power
tool is set to anticlockwise.
Auto Shut-off (metal) (GDR
When using the Auto Shut-off (metal) working mode, the
18V-215 and GDX 18V-285)
power tool automatically stops as soon as the torque in-
creases and the impact function is started

Note: The result may vary depending on the material, screws
and the amount of force applied by the user. Carry out a test
run before any work on the workpiece itself.
Auto Slow-down (wood) (GDR
When using the Auto Slow-down (wood) working mode, the

anism in action)
from being over-tightened because the user has sufficient
time to let go of the on/off switch (9).
Note: It is not possible to preselect the speed in the Auto
Slow-down (wood) working mode.
Note: If screws with a length of < 50 mm are used in the Auto
Slow-down (wood) working mode and no impact is detected,
it is possible that the power tool may not reduce the speed in
good time.
A) The Auto Shut-off (metal) and Auto Slow-down (wood) working
modes can only be activated when the on/off switch (9) is fully
pressed and the screws are being screwed in completely.

Maintenance and Cleaning
Clean the air vents on your power tool regularly. The

motor's fan will draw the dust inside the housing and ex-
cessive accumulation of powdered metal may cause elec-
trical hazards.
Clean the tool holder (1) and locking sleeve (2) from

time to time.
Before carrying out any work on the power tool (e.g.
u
maintenance, tool change etc.), remove the battery
from the power tool. There is risk of injury from uninten-
tionally pressing the on/off switch.
To ensure safe and efficient operation, always keep
u
the power tool and the ventilation slots clean.

Transport
The recommended lithium-ion batteries are subject to legis-
lation on the transport of dangerous goods. The user can
transport the batteries by road without further require-
ments.
When the batteries are shipped by third parties (e.g. air
transport or forwarding agency), special requirements on
packaging and labelling (e.g. ADR regulations) must be met.
A dangerous goods expert must be consulted when prepar-
ing the items for shipping.
Dispatch battery packs only when the housing is undam-
aged. Tape or mask off open contacts and pack up the bat-
tery in such a manner that it cannot move around in the
packaging. Please also observe the possibility of more de-
tailed national regulations.
