Performance characteristics

The IO Box FT 50 C...S1L8 is used to extend the functions of the FT 50 C...S1L8
It is used in connection with the FT 50 C...S1L8 colour sensor (not included) for online colour detection in industrial
procedures and processes.
Characteristics of colour sensor
• Colour selectivity (colour and intensity) can be individually adapted to the specific application during the
teach-in of colours.
• A colour range can be scanned for inhomogeneous coloured surfaces
• Colour detection possible even in reflector mode
• High colour selectivity, insensitive to fluctuations in scanning distance
• Connector plug rotatable by 270°
• Maintenance-free
Characteristics of terminal
The storage of up to 32 reference colours is carried out easily in teach-in mode using the keys on the terminal.
The reference colours can be:
> united in groups
> defined as a colour sequence
In running mode, the object colour is compared with the taught nominal values and the result is emitted via the 32
integrated binary signal outputs.

Installation is carried out by simply fastening the snap fixation beneath the housing to an appropriate mount rail (DIN
46277 mount rail).
