5. Before starting the equipment
Warning!
Always remove the battery pack before making
adjustments to the equipment.
5.1 Changing the saw blade (Fig. 2)
Warning!
Switch off the reciprocating saw and pull out the
battery pack each time before doing any work on
the machine and changing the blade.
Turn the ring (6) on the blade holder (4) as shown
in Fig. 2 until the blade (7) lets itself be slipped
into the slot of the blade holder (4). When you
now let go of the ring (6) again, the ring (6)
should return to its starting position. If this fails to
happen, try turning the ring (6) by hand into its
starting position.
Now pull on the blade to check whether it is tightly
seated in the holder.
5.2 Adjusting the shoe (Fig. 3)
Warning!
Pull out the battery pack.
To adjust the soleplate, press the shoe locking
button (5) on the right-hand side (looking from
the bottom) in order to unlock the shoe (3). Set
the required distance and press the shoe locking
button (5) on the left-hand side (looking from the
bottom) in order to lock the shoe again. Check
that the shoe is secure.
5.3 Fitting the battery (not included) (Fig. 4)
Push the battery into the battery mount provided.
When the battery is positioned as in Fig. 4, make
sure that the pushlock button latches in place! To
take out the battery, press the pushlock button (8)
and remove the battery.

6. Operation
6.1 On/Off switch (Fig. 1/Item 1)
Switching on:
Press the locking button (2) and the On/Off switch
(1).
Infi nitely variable stroke speed control is possible
with the On/Off switch (1). The further you pull the
switch, the higher the stroke speed.
Switching off :
Release the locking button (2) and the On/Off
switch (1) at the same time
6.2 Using the reciprocating saw (Fig. 6)
Place the reciprocating saw, as shown in Fig. 6,
on the material you want to cut. Switch on the
reciprocating saw and push the reciprocating saw
against the material you want to cut. The cutting
speed must be adjusted to the material.
6.3 Charging the Lithium-Ion battery (not
included)
The corresponding instructions can be found
in the original operating instructions for your
charger.
6.4 Battery capacity indicator (Fig. 3 / item 2)
Press the battery capacity indicator switch (a).
The battery capacity indicator (2) shows the
charge status of the battery using 3 LEDs.
All 3 LEDs lit:
The battery is fully charged.
2 or 1 LED(s) lit:
The battery has an adequate remaining charge.
1 LED fl ashing:
The battery is empty, recharge the battery.
All LEDs fl ashing:
The temperature of the battery is too low. Remove
the battery from the device and leave it at room
temperature for a day. If the error occurs again,
this means that the battery has been completely
depth-discharged and is defective. Remove the
battery from the device. Never use or charge a
defective battery.
