CONNECTION OF THE MUSIC SOURCE
The audio source must be connected to the RCA input "IN" (6). It must be equipped with standard RCA
output connectors. You can choose between connecting the music source (e. g. a CD player) directly and
making an interconnection to the recording line level output of an integrated amplifier or preamplifier. Use
standard RCA cables. The output connectors of the music source are in most cases named "LINE OUT",
"AUDIO OUT", "ANALOG OUT" or "FRONT OUT". You will find information about ways to connect sour-
ce equipment in their operating manuals.

The stereo sound of appliances that use output connectors other than RCA (DIN plugs, jack
plugs) can often also be used with the aid of adaptors.
Alternatively you can connect the input sockets to a recording output of an amplifier. In this case you have
the option of switching between different audio sources at the amplifier. Make an RCA connection bet-
ween the amplifier recording output and the headphone amplifier input "IN" (6). The recording output
connectors of an amplifier are in most cases named "REC OUT", "LINE OUT".

CONNECTION OF THE POWER CABLE
Check whether the electricity supply to your home is appropriate to the device. The required voltage and
frequency can be read on the back of the device beside the socket for the mains. If the electricity supply
is appropriate, push the inlet connector of the supplied mains cable firmly into socket for the mains on the
back of the device (7). Connect the other end of the mains cable to a mains socket.
