MATERIALS
A 1 Cross Bar with European facing to 94/20/EC A50-1
B 2 Bracket
C 8 M12 x 40 x 1.75 pitch bolts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers (30mm OD)
D 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75 pitch bolts, Nyloc Nuts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers (30mm OD)
E 2 M12 x 40 x 1.75 pitch bolts, Lock Washers, Flat Washers (30mm OD)
F 2 Plastic End Caps
CB 2 M16 x 50mm Coupling Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
CP 1 Coupling Packer (For use on bottom hole set)
Z 1 ZEP35 Electrical plate (not shown)
TC 1 Tow Ball Cover
FITTING
1. Remove towing eye from chassis rail. (If fitted)
2. Loosely assemble Crossbar (A) to chassis rails using appropriate fasteners (C).
3. Attach Brackets (B) to chassis and Crossbar (A) using appropriate fasteners (E & D).
4. Fully tighten all bolts in the following sequence, (E) then (D) and finally (C)
5. Fit Plastic End Caps (F) to each end of Crossbar (A).
Note: This towbar must be used with either a Witter Towball (part number Z11) or Class A50-1 or A50-X towball dimensionally
Conforming to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the towbar.
Packer (CP) is only for use on the bottom set of holes so as to provide extra clearance around ball.
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
Recommended torque settings: M8 - 27Nm, M10 - 53 Nm, M12 - 95 Nm, M14 - 150 Nm, M16 - 214 Nm
Grade 10.9: M10 – 78Nm
