F 3 M12 x 35mm x 1.75 Bolts, Nuts, Lock Washers
G 1 M12 x 35mm x 1.75 Bolts, Lock Washer, Special Cage Nut Retainer & Nut
ZP 1 Electrical Plate Bracket
ZE 1 Electrical Plate
For use with either
LX2 Flange neck option – ZF3020. Note: This tow bar must be used with either a Witter Tow ball (part number Z11) or Class
A50-1 or A50-X tow ball, which dimensionally conforms to A50-1 with a 'D' and 'S' value greater than or equal to that of the tow bar.
LX2Q Detachable neck option – ZQ3020. Please refer to ZQ fitting instructions for installation
Please refer to the vehicle specification for the trailer weight and nose limits, which must be observed.
FITTING
1. Remove the large central under tray (2 screws on front flange, 6 fasteners along rearmost edge and two connecting to
LHS mud flap, 1clip behind LHS wheel arch liner, 2 large plastic nuts on RHS of under tray [Pull gently, whilst
unscrewing])
2. Remove both towing eye brackets and torsion bar if fitted.
3. Partly unclip the offside under tray to improve access to chassis rail.
4. Remove exhaust silencer from rubber hanger to aid assembly of Cross Bar (A) over exhaust.
5. Remove the plastic clips and tape sealing the mounting points in the chassis.
6. Pre-assemble Side Bracket (B) to Cross Bar (A) using fasteners (G & F), and Fully Tighten these fasteners.
Note: See separate Instructions for assembly of fastener (G) - 'Special Cage Nut Retainer'.
7. Loosely attach Side Arm (C), refitting the towing eye bracket (leave off if torsion bar model) on top of the Side Arm, to
vehicle chassis using fasteners (D & E).
8. Assemble the pre-assembled Cross Bar (A) to Side Bracket (C) using fasteners (F) and to off-side chassis rail using
fasteners (D & E), remembering to re-fit the offside towing eye bracket on top of Side Bracket (B)
9. Assemble chosen Neck (ZF or ZQ) and Electrical Plate (ZB & ZE) to Cross Bar (A) using fasteners and spacers supplied
in the Neck Kit
10. Fully Tighten all Bolts
11. Cut the central under tray in two areas as shown below (Remove hatched areas).
12. Re-locate exhaust silencer and it's support rubber, and refit both under trays to the vehicle.
Recommended torque settings: Grade 8.8 bolts: M8 - 24Nm, M10 - 52Nm, M12 - 80Nm, M14 - 130Nm, M16 - 200Nm
