Cleaning Your Hearing Aid
The following instructions will help you to extend the life
of your hearing aid.
To Clean the Exterior of the Hearing Aid:
You should inspect your hearing aid daily and clean it
periodically to control build-up of dust, dirt and wax.
To clean, wipe the surface very gently with a soft, dry
cloth or use only moist cleaning wipes made especially
for hearing aids. Never use water or other liquids when
cleaning the hearing aid.
To Clean the Ear Tip:
Inspect the tip of the ear canal portion of the hearing
aid for any wax build-up. To clean, wipe the tip
very gently with a soft, dry cloth or use only moist
cleaning wipes made especially for hearing aids and
their accessories. The tip should be cleaned regularly
and exchanged at the latest after three months.
Be very careful not to push wax into the ear wax filter.
It is important that the ear tip fits properly into your
ear. Your hearing aid is constructed from the highest
quality materials, and the likelihood of an allergic
reaction is low. If the ear tip irritates your ear in any
way, contact your Sonetik Specialist.
