Position in your room
o Position the BW 1.1 in the vicinity of bedrooms. Pay attention to the evacuation
route; bedrooms are often the rooms farthest from the exit
o If bedrooms are spread over several zones, a smoke detector should be fitted in each
zone
o Install one or more smoke detectors in stairwells, these act as chimneys for smoke
and heat
o Install at least one smoke detector on each floor
o Smoke detectors should be fitted in all rooms in which electric equipment is used
(portable heaters for example)
o Smoke detectors should be fitted in all rooms in which people sleep with the door
closed. A closed door may prevent the alarm waking a person sleeping in a room
with the door closed.
o Installing the product in the centre of the room will give the detector the best
coverage of the space
o To use the BW 1.1 in connected mode (WiFi mode)
Install the BW 1.1 within range of your WiFi access point or router (read instructions
for these devices).
