Danger!
• The heating cable must not be installed at outside temperatures of < +5 °C.
5. The heating cable's continuity, resistance and insulation resistance must be checked before beginning installation and also after
installation, but always before connecting the power cord.
Important! The resistance value before and after installation must match the value on the product label. A tolerance of + -5 % to
+10 % is allowed. The insulation resistance must be more than 10 MOhm. (See: Table 1.)

6. Roll out the heating cable and place it on the ground in the way it will be mounted on the pipe later.
• The heating cable must not be 600 mm shorter or longer than the pipe.
• Do not lay the heating cable twisted.
Preparing the power supply:
7. mount the socket in a protected (indoor) area.
Danger!
• The heating cable connection must be at a 230 V socket with protective contact. This must be protected with a B10 A or B16 A
MCB. A separate 30 mA RCD circuit breaker should also be provided. A combined RCD/MCB with adequate tripping characteristic
may be used. The RCD circuit breaker must only supply the circuits intended for
the heating cable.
8. Form a drip loop with the power cord after the mains socket in order to avoid
condensate entering the socket.
Mount the heating cable and thermostat:
9. attach the thermostat at the coldest end of the pipe, place the heating cable
on the underside of the pipe and affix the heating cable to the pipe in inter-
vals of max. 200 mm using PVC insulating tape. (Fig. 7). The thermostat and
the entire heating cable must be in contact with the pipe and fit tightly. The
