are fully extended. Slide the adjustable shoe over the ladder side rail as shown in
. You may need to tap the
adjustable shoe with a rubber mallet to be sure that there is a tight fit. Position the adjustable shoe so the rubber shoe pad is
in firm contact with the floor. Again, check that the spreader bars are fully extended. Align the adjustable shoe over the
predrilled holes on the ladder side rail. Use the closest set of pre-drilled holes ensuring that the feet are touching the floor.
You may need to slightly adjust the attic ladder sections to allow the adjustable shoe to move down to the next closest holes.
Use (2) ¼" bolts and serrated nuts to attach the adjustable shoe to the attic ladder side rail. Tighten both fasteners. Repeat
adjustable shoe installation on the opposite side rail.
