5.1.1.6 CHECK THE LOCKNUT
WARNING
STOP THE PRODUCT AND REMOVE THE
BATTERY, USE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND BE
CAREFUL AROUND THE SHARP EDGES OF THE
CUTTING ATTACHMENT.
A locknut is used to attach some types of cutting
attachments.
• To attach, tighten the locknut in the opposite
direction to the direction of rotation of the cutting
attachment.
• To remove, loosen the locknut in the same direction
as the cutting attachment rotates.
WARNING
WHEN YOU LOOSEN AND TIGHTEN THE
LOCKNUT, THERE IS A RISK OF INJURY
FROM THE TEETH OF THE BLADE. WEAR
HEAVY DUTY GLOVES TO PREVENT PERSONAL
INJURY.
Note: Ensure that the locknut cannot be turned
by hand. Replace the nut after it has been used
approximately 10 times.

CONNECT THE BATTERY CHARGER
Connect the battery charger to the proper voltage and
frequency that is specified on the rating plate.

CONNECT THE BATTERY TO THE
PRODUCT
WARNING
ONLY USE GREENWORKS COMMERCIAL
BATTERIES WITH THE PRODUCT.

Make sure that the battery is fully charged.

Push the battery into the battery compartment.
The battery locks into position when you hear a
click.
IF THE BATTERY DOES NOT FIT EASILY INTO
THE BATTERY COMPARTMENT, IT MAY NOT BE
INSTALLED CORRECTLY, WHICH CAN CAUSE
DAMAGE TO THE BATTERY AND/OR THE
PRODUCT.

Make sure that the battery is installed securely.
5.2
START THE PRODUCT
1.
Press the power button (1).
Note: The product starts in a default speed of high by
three LED bars on the speed indicator (2).

Simultaneously push the safety-lock button and
pull the trigger.
