Turn the trimmer head until the metal rod blocks
rotation of the trimmer head.

Turn the trimmer head clockwise to remove it.

4.2.2.1 INSTALL THE BRUSH CUTTER GUARD

Place the brush cutter guard onto the mounting
posts.

Securely tighten the screws with the torx wrench.

4.2.2.2 REMOVE THE BRUSH CUTTER GUARD
1.
Remove the screws from the brush cutter guard
with the torx wrench.

Remove the brush cutter guard.
4.2.2.3 INSTALL THE BRUSH CUTTER BLADE
• THE BRUSH CUTTER GUARD MUST BE
INSTALLED BEFORE INSTALLING THE BRUSH
CUTTER BLADE.
• WEAR PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND BE
CAREFUL WITH SHARP EDGES.
• USE THE SPECIFIED LOCKNUT INCLUDED
WITH THE BLADE, TO ASSEMBLE THE
BLADE.

Insert the metal rod (1) into the specified angle
transmission hole (2), and hold in place. Turn the
center shaft (3) until the metal rod blocks rotation
of the shaft.

Arrange the brush cutter blade, support flange,
outer cap, and locknut on the center shaft in the
specified order.
