CONVERSION PROCEDURE:
Step 1:
WARNING: Disconnect
electrical power supply to laundry
center
Step 2:
WARNING: Turn off the gas supply
Step 3: Gain access to the valve by
removing the dryer access panel C14 and
the heat shield C15.
Step 4: Disconnect the harness
connector from the dryer control. Remove
the panel control and the dryer front.
Step 5: Belt removal
(Figure 2)
forcing it 1 to 2" (25 to 50 mm) to the right,
hook its shaft end behind the motor bracket.
This removes the tension of the drive belt
and allows removing the drum.
Step 6: Drum can be removed from the dryer.
Step 7: The gas valve is accessible now. Disconnect
the wire harness from the automatic valve
and from the igniter.
Step 8: Remove the two screws C3 at the top of the
burner C5. Remove the burner from the
dryer. Be careful not to damage the igniter
C6.

Step 9: Remove the leak limiting device C7 and the
orifice spud C1 (nozzle) from the gas valve
C4.

Note: Save the original parts (orifice & leak limiter,
items C1 & C7) in case it is required to convert the
dryer back to natural gas.
Step 10: Install the new orifice C1 from this kit.
Tighten securely.
Step 11: Install the L.P. regulator pin C2.
Step 12: Apply the Conversion Record Label C10 on
the valve C4 as shown in
Step 13: Assemble the burner C5 back to the gas
valve bracket C9, removed in step 8

Step 14: Connect the harness to the gas valve C4
and the igniter C6.
Step 15: Reassemble the dryer: drum, drive belt,
front panel, control panel and reconnect
the harness connector to the dryer control.
Step 16: Before you assemble the heat shield and
the dryer access panel. Turn on the gas.
Step 17: Check the gas system for leaks with a soap
solution.
Step 18: On the rear C11 of the dryer, fill and apply
the responsibility label C12.
Step 19: Reconnect all the electrical power.
Step 20: To make sure the dryer is working
properly:
a. Turn on dryer.
b. Run on high heat for 5 minutes
c. Verify that the igniter turn on the
flame properly.
Step 21: Disconnect electrical power supply to
laundry center.
Step 22: Reassemble the heat shield C15 and the
dryer access panel C14.
Step 23: Reconnect all the electrical power.
Step 24: Open the dryer door and apply the
Conversion Rating Plate C14 as near as
possible to the actual plate.
