NOTE
A clamping prism and a milling cutter are required for the first equipment and the functionality of the
maintenance station. They depend on the torch and gas nozzle geometry.
Order the equipment parts and wear parts separately. Order data and part numbers for the equipment parts
and wear parts can be found in the current ABICOR BINZEL spare parts and wear parts lists.

4 Functional Description

For cleaning, the torch is clamped with the cylindrical part of the gas nozzle in the clamping device. The
milling cutter which is configured to the gas nozzle and torch geometry moves into the gas nozzle interior
by means of compressed air and removes adhering welding spatter there. The cleaning process is optimized
by an air-blast function (option) through the cable assembly.
Afterwards, the cleaned gas nozzle interior is sprayed by the milling cutter with a dosed quantity of anti-
spatter fluid against adhesion of spatter. In the wire cutting device (DAV), the welding wire is cut to TCP
length. A clamp for strain relief of the connection between control system and cleaning unit is integrated in
the housing.
