5 Disassembly and Reassembly

Remember that these are maximum useful service life guidelines. Wear or damage noticed during a regular inspection must be
the determining factor for possible earlier replacement. In any case, always replace the helmet after it has withstood impact or
penetration.

Disassembly and Reassembly
5.1
Disassembly
1. Hold the helmet in an inverted position (upside down).
2. Remove the four clips attached to the nylon suspension straps by snapping them out of the slots in the shell.
3. Lift the suspension, foam liner and plastic shield out of the shell.
5.2
Reassembly
1. Assemble shield by connecting male end through outside of arrow slot. Be sure the bent tabs are facing outward.
2. Insert assembled shield into shell with fastened end towards front of shell.
3. Insert liner into shell. Be sure that front of liner marked "F" is towards front of shell.
4. Position suspension assembly into shell. Align four tabs over slots and push complete assembly into shell. Push each
tab into helmet slot until tabs are snug with shell edge.
5. Fully open the Fas-Trac or 1-Touch Suspension.
6. Push the top crown strap toward the crown of the protective helmet as show by arrow A in
NOTE: The bottom crown strap will move as shown by arrow B in
7. Place the helmet on the head and push down on top of the helmet until comfortable wearing height is reached.
8. Tighten the Fas-Trac or 1-Touch Suspension until fit is snug.
