• Check the oil level daily or every eight hours.
• Keep the oil level at maximum level.
• Don't overfill.
Oil filling procedure
For instructions on adding oil to your machine, refer to your engine manual.
Oil checking procedure
1. Check the oil level before starting the engine.
2. Place the engine horizontally. Clean around the oil filler cap and dipstick.
3. Insert and remove the dipstick to check the oil level.
4. Remove the oil filler cap. Pour in the oil slowly.
5. Fill to the mark on the dipstick - check again
6. Reinsert the dipstick.
Fuel
• Use clean, fresh, regular unleaded gasoline in accordance with your engine manual.
Adding fuel
• Fill the tank outdoors or in a well-ventilated area, away from sparks, open flames, heat and
other sources of ignition.
• If fuel is spilled, wait until it evaporates before starting the engine.
• Turn off the engine and allow it to cool for at least 2 minutes before removing the fuel
filler cap.
• Remove the cap. Fill the tank to approximately 38mm below the top of the neck to allow
for fuel expansion. Be careful not to overfill. Replace the cap before starting.
Starting and stopping
IMPORTANT : The engine is delivered to the customer without oil. Engine oil must be refilled
before starting the engine.
