Top cover must be open when main burner is in operation. Based on
safety considerations, the top burner flame size should be adjusted
so it does not extend beyond the edge of the cooking utensil.
1. Make sure and check that ALL knobs are turned to the OFF position
before lighting with match.
2. Ensure the main gas valve is in the open position.
3. Rotate the appropriate burner knob counterclockwise to "HI"
position (Fig.9).
4. PROMPTLY position an extended lit wooden match or use an
extended butane lighter through the grate spaces, nearest the burner
port to light the burner. Hold burner knob in for 5 to 10 seconds once
burner is lit. Repeat steps 4 and 5 to light desired burners (Fig. 10.)
