Display during a firing
By default, the green display indicates the actu-
al setpoint temperature during a firing. When
heating up, this setpoint temperature "counts
upwards" according to the rate set.
The end temperature of the selected firing curve
flashes up on the display twice every 15 se-
conds. This allows you to check this important
value without pushing any keys.
You can observe the firing curve to see how your
TC 504 processes it segment by segment.
When the kiln temperature has reached 150°C
during cooling down, the program is complete.
The green display reads "End" confirming that
the firing process has been completed success-
fully.
On most firings the customer wants to heat up
the kiln as quickly as possible from 2nd dwell
temperature to end temperature. You can do this
by entering the value "SKIP".
Select the respective segment.
Enter a value larger than 998°C/h in order to get
"SKIP".
We do not recommend that you use "SKIP"
for glaze firings in kilns with large firing
chambers.
