INSTALLATION

Remove the 2 screws from the plate on the right side of the
hood to gain access to the junction box.

Remove the screw holding the junction box.

Remove the pre-cutting inside the junction box. Temporarily
close the hood cover.

Determine according to the air outlet, the transition to install.
Place the hood upside down to install the transition with two 3.5 x
9.5 mm screws for the 6" transition or 4 screws for the 8" transition.

A minimum of 3 people is required. Lift the hood to the ceiling
for installation. NOTE: Exhaust duct and duct connections must be
installed before placing on the ceiling.

Place the duct of your domestic installation for the hood air
outlet in the previously installed transition.

Pass the connection conduit from your domestic installation
through the pre-cut that was previously removed from the hood
junction box.

Once the ductwork is installed lift the hood to attach it to the
ceiling, push until the retaining clips click above the ceiling.

To adjust the hood, two people should push up on the hood
and another person should turn the adjusting screws (ECEX40SS: 4
screws, ECEX60SS: 8 screws) with a 3/16" allen wrench, clockwise
until it is tight to the ceiling.
10 General electrical supply VAC of the hood:
•
Connect the black wire from the hood to the black wire from
the wiring in the installation area. (L)
8" transition
•
Connect the 2 white wires from the hood to the white wire of
the installation area (N).
•
Connect the green/yellow wire from the hood to the ground wire
of the installation area. (
11 Once the electrical connection has been made, replace the
junction box cover, and reinstall the plate covering the junction box.
