3.3 Tips for use
To prevent food contamination and prolong the product's life, observe the following
instructions:
• The product is suitable for freezing fresh foods and long storage of frozen and
deep-frozen foods.
• Place the product far from heat sources such as radiators, boilers, oven, direct
sunlight, etc..
• Allow air to circulate freely around the back of the product.
• Do not open the door too often or leave the door open too long. The rise in
temperature can cause food to spoil.
• Keep the door closed if electricity fails.
• Make sure there is space between the foods so that air circulation can take place.
• Do not put warm food in the product. Let warm food cool first before placing
them in the product.
• Store raw meat and fish in appropriate containers. This will prevent them from
coming into contact with other foods and contaminate them.
• Clean surfaces that may come in contact with food regularly to prevent bacterial
growth.
• Do not exceed the storage time specified by the food manufacturer.
• It is advisable to note the freezing date on each package to keep track of the
storage time.
• Do not let the newly placed food touch the frozen food to prevent temperature
rise.
• Frozen foods can be defrosted before use. Let the food thaw in a suitable bowl
in the refrigerator compartment or at room temperature, depending on the time
available.
• Small pieces of food can still be cooked even frozen. In this case, cooking will
take longer.
• Once thawed, food spoils quickly and cannot be refrozen.
• In case of unintentional thawing, for example if the power has been off for more
than 7 hours, the thawed food must be consumed quickly or cooked immediately
and then refrozen (after cooking).
• Caution! If water ice is consumed immediately after being removed from the
freezer compartment, it could possibly cause frostbite.
