WARNING: The socket is polarized. The balancer plug must fit easily, do not use force! The plug
could be damaged or worse, the battery catches fire or explodes!

WARNING: Before charging make sure check the type of the battery. Lithium batteries with more
than one cell must always be charged with attached Balancer - fire hazard!
•
Note: 1S lithium batteries or batteries with integrated balancer have no extra balancer connector!
Charging methods
NiMH: will be charged by the constant current method with Delta-Peak cut-off. Here, the charging current
over the entire period remains constant, the battery voltage rises slowly during the charging process. At the
end of the charge, however, it falls back slightly. This so-called Delta-peak point is recognized by the charger
and used to stop charging. After shutdown the battery is charged with a very low charging current to prevent
a drop in voltage until use (trickle charge).
Lithium Batteries: are charged by the CC / CV method. Here the battery is initially charged with a constant
charge current (CC) until the battery reaches its final charging voltage (eg. 4.2 V / cell for a Li-Po battery).
In order to keep this voltage, the charging current is gradually reduced (CV = constant voltage). If charging
current is below 10% of the initial value, the charging process will be terminated.
Lead-acid batteries (Pb) are also charged by the CC / CV method.
Charging process
• Make sure that the charger is connected to the power supply. Connect the battery to be charged as
described in „Connecting the battery" with the charger.
• Set the battery type, number of cells and charging current.
•
WARNING: Never charge with incorrectly set cell type. Check the maximum charge current speci-
fied by the battery manufacturer - fire hazard!
• Press the START
correct if necessary with the
charging the battery - the display CHA- is displayed.
• During charging, the display alternates between the battery voltage and charging current, so you cons-
tantly see all the important charge parameters. Pressing the
ges (only lithium batteries with balancer connected).
End of charging
• If the battery is fully charged, FULL appears in the display, as well as an acoustic signal sounds for about
10 seconds - by pressing the
• When charging is complete, you can reload the parameters by pressing the
• NiMH batteries are then further charged with a very low charge current (between 50 mA at a charge
current of 800 mA and 205 mA at 5 A) to prevent a drop in voltage until use (trickle charge). Press the
button to stop the trickle charge.
•
NOTE: if the charging process is terminated by safety timer, the display will show STOP. Check the
charging parameters and start the charging process again if necessary.
• When charging is complete, the battery can be disconnected from the charger. If the charger is no longer
needed, it should be disconnected from the power supply.
