WARNING: the charger is only suitable for the battery types listed in the specifications with a nominal
voltage of 1.2 V. Before you start charging, make sure that the battery to be charged is the correct type - do
EN
not attempt to charge batteries with different number of cells or even other battery types - fire or explosion
hazard!
WARNING: the maximum charging current is 1A. According to this, for batteries with a capacity lower
than 1000 mAh the charging rate is over 1C, therefore check whether your batteries are suitable for the 1A
charging current. Most cell types can also be charged with 2C or more. If this is not the case, do not charge
this battery with the charger - fire hazard!

Charging

• Make sure that the charger is connected to the mains - the LCD segments shows null.
• The charger detects the battery type (NiCd, NiMH or Li-Ion) automatically and adjusts the charging pro-
cess. You can load or test a different type of battery in each battery compartment - the four battery com-
partments can be individually set by pressing the keys 1 ... 4.
• Insert the batteries to be charged in the battery compartments - observe the polarity. If the battery is incor-
rectly inserted or the cell is defective, the LCD screen will continue to show null. If the battery is inserted
correctly, the current battery voltage is displayed, for example, 1.12 V.
NULL
• After about 4 seconds the display changes to 200 mA CHARGE. This is the actual charging current and
it also appears for about 4 seconds.
• If neither pushed MODE nor CURRENT during this total 8 seconds, the charging process starts with the
set charging current.
• If MODE or CURRENT is pressed: by (repeatedly) pressing CURRENT the charging current is increased
gradually between 200 mA and 1 A. MODE changes between charging, discharging, refresh and test.
• During charging, set the charging current by long pressing the MODE button or select a battery compart-
ment with the keys 1 ... 4. The charging current can be set separately for each battery.
• When the battery is fully charged, Full appears on the display.
fULL
• Disconnect the battery from the charger. If the charger is then no longer needed, it should be disconnec-
ted from the mains.

Mode selection

• Press the MODE button for 1 second to change the mode for all battery compartments. To change the
mode on a single battery compartment, press key 1... 4 first.
