3. INTENDED PurPOSE
The compact holder is used for modular attachment of different types of
compatible gas exchanger, pump drives and sensor boxes to the trolley's
rail or to an appropriate standard rail
When the console is used without the trolley (e g for inner-hospital trans-
port) the compact holder can be attached to the back of the console In
this setup, the system can also be used as a table unit
The compact holder facilitates fitting of the pump drive and sensor box to
the rear of the console, at a trolley or to a standard rail during clinical us-
age While using the holder, the whole console system takes up less space
and facilitates the use in areas with restricted space
The duration of use depends on the selection of the suitable patient kit for
the therapy requirement
