• Disconnect the power supply before proceeding with the wiring;
• Based on the geometry of the system, assess the risk of the formation of an explosive mixture inside the pipeline;
• If the solenoid valve is installed near other equipment or as part of a set, it is necessary to preliminarily assess the
compatibility between the solenoid valve and such equipment;
• Avoid installing the solenoid valve near surfaces that could be damaged by the coil temperature. ATTENTION:
the surface temperature may cause contact burns. If it is installed in a domestic environment, it must not be made
accessible to unqualified personnel;
• The solenoid valve is suitable for installation in places with a low risk of mechanical impact. Provide protection from
shocks or accidental contacts if the solenoid valve is accessible to unqualified personnel.
3.2 - INSTALLATION (see example in 3.4)
• Assemble the device by flanging it, together with the appropriate seals, to the system with pipes whose flanges are consistent
with the connection to be assembled. The gaskets must be free from defects and must be centred between the flanges;
• If the remaining space is excessive when the gaskets are inserted, do not try to fill the gap by over tightening the bolts of the
appliance;
• The arrow, indicated on the body (14) of the appliance, must be directed towards the user;
• Insert the dedicated washers inside the bolts to avoid damage to the flanges during tightening;
• During the tightening phase, be careful not to "pinch" or damage the gasket;
• Tighten the nuts or bolts gradually, following a "cross" pattern (see example below);
• Tighten them, first to 30%, then to 60%, up to 100% of the maximum torque (see table below according to EN 13611);
• Re-tighten each nut or bolt clockwise at least once, until the maximum torque is uniform;
• The device must be installed with the pipe horizontal and the opening system facing upwards (see figures below);
• During installation, prevent debris or metal residues from penetrating inside the appliance;
• To ensure an assembly free from mechanical tensions, the use of compensating joints is also recommended to compensate
for the thermal expansion of the pipeline;
• If the appliance is to be installed in a ramp, it is the installer's responsibility to provide adequate supports or retaining
elements, correctly sized, to support and secure the assembly. Never and for any reason leave the weight of the ramp only
on the connections (threaded or flanged) of the individual devices;
• In any case, after installation, check the tightness of the system;
• ATTENTION: The valve is supplied with a pre-wired power cable (22) of length 3 metres. This cable CANNOT be
replaced with a different one and, in case of damage, the component must be discarded and replaced with one that is
identical and intact. Any repair (if possible) can only be carried out by the manufacturer;
• In the hazardous area, wire the ends of the cable with approved explosion-protected equipment (E.g. Terminal box with "e"
protection or increased safety according to EN 60079-7) using the appropriate terminal lugs;
